A friend for Mango

Some of you may be wondering what ever happened to our little cat family. Well, we kept a close eye on them for a couple of days, and noticed that for each day a kitten would go missing. We started to wonder if a predator had found them, or perhaps the mother was relocating them. On the 3rd day one was left alone, at this point we started to get a little concerned…Where was the mother? Will she come back for this little tyke? The evening rolled around and we could hear the small cries through our bedroom window. I don't know who was more distressed. Graham and I, or the little kitten! The next day we decided to take matters into our own hands and made a pact, if the mom didn't come back that evening we would take this little fellow in and find him a home before we left. The 4 of us had a great day together! Mango was a little afraid of this spunky kitten at first, but soon they were best buds and following each other around the yard! To our relief, and I'm not going to lie… to our slight disappointment, the mother showed up around dinner time to retrieve her little guy, yes a boy, we checked, and no, we hadn't gotten as far as naming him yet! So this story does have a happy ending! Here are a few photos of a budding friendship!
