An action packed Toronto visit!

We have been staying with our fellow camping buddy Gerrie whom we met in the Tampa area this past January. Some of you may recall we had a great time having gourmet meals in her Roadtrek "Ruby"! We arrived at her home on Friday afternoon and have been thoroughly spoiled! Staying in her airbnb suite, enjoying home cooked meals and great company! Gerrie lives steps from the Lake Ontario shoreline in an area of Toronto called the Beaches. A beautiful neighbourhood which we will be sadly leaving tomorrow! So what have we been up to? Tons! On Saturday we unhooked the T@b and drove to Niagara Falls! You can't drive through Ontario without checking out this famous waterfall! It was jammed packed full of tourists, but worth the visit! Did you know that approximately 30 million people visit the falls every year!?

The Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side. Actually, a small portion of the falls lies on the U.S. side. It constantly changes due to erosion.
Crazy thrill seekers!
A dog friendly tourist attraction!
The American Falls
The above and below photo are of the Niagara Whirlpool. A natural whirlpool along the Niagara River that was formed approximately 4200 years ago

I'm including these photos mainly because of the colour of the water! A beautiful turquoise! Check out the waves and currents in the photo below!

And of course no visit to Niagara Falls is complete without stopping in at the souvenir shop!

Another crazy thrill seeker! Such a brave woman!
Graham was really impressed with this beautiful set of spoons!
I wouldn't exactly call this child friendly!
Gerrie was so sweet packing us this amazing picnic, blanket included! Unfortunately it started to rain, keeping us inside the car. As you can tell it didn't really ruin it for us! YUM!
Don't forget a trip to the Laura Secord homestead! A quick pullover while driving along the Niagara Gorge!
After a great day trip to Niagara we arrived back at Gerrie's and enjoyed an amazing dinner! Have I mentioned we are meeting the nicest people on this T@b journey!!? I have to keep saying it! We are so lucky!

Good food and great company!
Apparently hospitality and generosity runs in the family! This is Daniel, Gerrie's son who just happen to have a few CN Tower passes on hand, and kindly gave them to us! Thanks Daniel!
A quick elevator ride and we were 1815 feet in the sky! Yikes!

I'm sure you can't tell, as I'm sure you must be blinded by our dazzling smiles! But we were both slightly terrified up there! Neither of us are thrilled by heights! Ha! However… the view was worth it!
Well! We've had a blast here in the Toronto area! Tomorrow we hit the road and try to pick up the pace! Back to Walmarts with a few Provincial Parks thrown in! How will we ever adjust after our time with Gerrie and our friend's in Quebec! I leave you now with a few beach shots near Gerrie's home! Ok… and one funky retro RV!

Groovy!
