A walk in the park!

Just when you think the weather has turned around… Mother Nature has other plans. We were so elated last week to get a beach day in and throw on the bathing suits! We thought. Finally! Summer has arrived! Unfortunately, once again the clouds, fog, and rain rolled in and we have been having Vancouver like weather for the last 4 days. To be honest with you we have been hiding out in the trailer, hitting the gym, walking the dog, and watching some really crappy movies. Thankfully today our expectations were met, and we had some beautiful Florida weather, 74 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. So we ran for the pool and soaked in the sun! We were able to have a couple of field trips this past week, we visited a very cool area of Tampa called "Hyde Park Village", lots of great shops, restaurants, and beautiful old houses. Reminded us of Kitsilano. For those of you who don't know, that is the neighbourhood where Graham and I live in Vancouver. What else did we do? We found another State Park down the road from our campground. "Hillsborough River State Park", a beautiful park with tons of walking and biking trails. Canoe and kayak rentals, and a fantastic campground. Opened in 1938, this is one of Florida's first parks. As mentioned the day was grey and drizzly, so I chose not to bring the camera. As luck goes, the rain stopped and there were tons of great photo ops! We had the camera phone but it just doesn't do it justice. Here are a few of the best.
