Family in Florida!? Who knew?!

We recently received an email from Graham's cousin Sharon back home… You have family in Florida! You have to contact her! We had no clue!  Assuming that they were probably miles away. Or the worst case scenario, somewhere we had already left, we started to send a couple of emails back and forth. We were both blown away to find out they had only weeks before moved about 7 minutes down the road from our campground! Strange coincidence?! Or meant to be?! Lisa, Graham's cousin's daughter, her partner Zeljko (Jake) and their daughter Evgenija (Gena), invited us over last night to their newly built home for a delicious Salmon dinner! Yaaaa! Home cookin' at a dining table! Not on the edge of a bed!! Such a treat, no beans and rice! We had a fantastic evening catching up, learning about their life in Florida, and telling them about our crazy road trip!

Today we had our own tour guide! Lisa took us down to Clearwater Beach, a resort area along the intracoastal waterway. The perfect day to stroll the 'Beach Walk', with its beautiful white sand beaches, restaurants and shops. Being a Sunday afternoon the place was packed with tourists and locals soaking in the sun. The 4 of us, including Mango sat on the patio and enjoyed a greasy lunch at 'Crabby Bills'!

The stretch of beach between Clearwater and St. Pete's is located in Pinellas County, boasting 35 miles (56 km) of some of the best beaches in the world!
