Carnivores only, Vegans beware!

We hit the 10th annual "Budweiser Smoke on the Water BBQ Competition" on Saturday. Held in the town of Winter Haven about 45 minutes east of Tampa. More than 80 teams from across the country competed with funds being raised to benefit the Boys and Girls Club. Now most of you probably don't know this, but since Graham and I have been on the road, we have minimized our meat consumption considerably. Lots of veggies, curries, pastas, tofu, and beans. I know some of you may think this sounds a bit crazy considering we are camping and you usually eat copious amounts of hot dogs, hamburgers and steak over the ole' campfire, but we purposely tried to switch up our diet a little. When you don't have a freezer and you have very little space, it makes the change pretty easy. Anyways, before I get off topic... When we heard about the competition on the radio, Graham gave me sad puppy dog eyes, and we agreed to go check it out. The event was quite the party. Beer gardens, bands, and every kind of barbecued meat you can think of, not to mention tons of other artery clogging dishes… deep fried pickles and Oreos, nachos and cheese piled high on top of pulled pork, you get the picture.. or maybe you've got the rumble in your stomach? Graham sampled some award winning ribs with a gleam in his eye, and sauce on his chin. The day was also filled with some great people watching, good music, and some fun photos that we would like to share with you! Bon Appetite!

Slightly creepy eh?
