Corpus Christi Christmas!

Corpus Christi Christmas… Say that 10 times fast!

Arrived at our Corpus Campground on Thursday. Weather is sunny, but cool, about 10-22 degrees Celsius, and windy. We haven't been doing a lot here. I think we are a little tired from the Hill Country excitement! Everyday we have been hitting the beach with Mango, she is loving it, and we are happy to see the ocean again! Corpus seems to be very quiet this time of year, but from what we've heard it comes to life at Spring Break, and the party begins. We are enjoying the uncrowded beaches, only seeing the odd fisherman, or person braving the wind and camping in their tent. Some days it is just us and the pelicans! Below is Mustang Island State Park.

After the beach we took a drive through a nearby small town, Port Aransas. A small beach side surfing community, population of about 3700. The streets are lined with surf shops, and shrimp shacks! We stopped for a few photo opportunities before hopping on the free ferry which takes you back to the mainland and our drive into Corpus. The park ranger at the beach told us about the ferry, and said we might get lucky and see some dolphins, ask and thy shall receive!
